Correction -
We must have had a case of wishful thinking because yesterday we shared that Nine Mile is celebrating its 14th birthday on Sat., May 15. That date was incorrect + the correct date is Sun., May 15. I guess we were a little too eager to get our hands on a piece of the eatery's iconic Natty bread.

Two things we love: Vintage photos and flowers. So when we came across this circa 1948 pic of Chauncey Beadle — former horticulturist + estate superintendent for the Biltmore Estate and the person responsible for its glorious 15-acre azalea garden — we were tickled pink as the blooms Chauncey is admiring.
Wanna learn more? Check out this piece from the Biltmore, and if you’re more of an immersive learner, we recommend visiting the Estate during its annual Biltmore Blooms, on view through Thurs., May 26. 🌸
