Hello Wednesday.
April 24 2024
Okay, the survey doesn’t say anything yet. But it will. Stick with us here. This is gonna be good.
Basically, we need a little help. And when you need help, it’s important to ask the right people the right questions.
Every morning more than 46,953 of you have invited us into your inbox. And each day we do our very best to provide you with the timely, relevant info so you can get the most out of our great city. Sometimes that means we have to go investigate the newest rooftop bar, the latest city council news, or what's going on with that downtown development everyone is talking about. It's a tough job, but somebody's got to do it. But now we need to make sure we are investigating the right things and sending you where you want to go.
Today we are asking you to take 2 minutes to tell us a little more about yourself. Just 2 minutes. The line to get a morning latte takes longer than that. Feel free to skip any questions you don’t want to answer. We don’t want to pry. (Okay, we do, but just a little bit.)
And 1 more thing: We will be picking 1 lucky AVLtoday survey participant to win a $100 gift card. That’s many, many lattes, AVL.
Thanks in advance for your help,
-City Editors Brook and Laura

Can you believe it’s been a decade since the Hominy Creek Greenway was first installed? This peaceful mile-long corridor, perched along a creek in West Asheville, was first made possible by a team of citizens and businesses who chipped in to purchase and protect the land in 2011, and it’s been a sanctuary for locals ever since.
In honor of its 10th anniversary, the Friends of the Hominy Creek Greenway will host “Hominy Rising - Art & Awareness on the Greenway,” a public art exhibition that showcases the watershed’s history, ecology, folktales, beauty + beyond, which runs from Oct. 2-Oct. 10. Learn more about the free exhibition of 18+ visual and performance artists here.
