A decades-long initiative is finally paying off. This fall, the WNC Historical Association will open the Asheville Museum of History in the historic Smith-McDowell House at 283 Victoria Rd. The museum will provide gallery spaces for permanent and changing exhibits as well as programs and other meetings.

Twenty years ago, local DeWayne Barton started a community garden on an overgrown lot in the historic Burton Street neighborhood. 📢 We've got an update on Bhramari Brewing Co. — er, should we say the brewery formerly known as Bhramari. After closing in February, the brewery will be revived with new local ownership. It plans to reopen with a new name, brand, and updated space in mid-May. The new leadership includes: -Kyle McKenzie, Head of Brewing (former Head Brewer at Green Man Brewery) -Steven Brett, General Manager (former manager at City Bakery) -Doss Church, Director of Operations (former CEO and founder of Galaxy Digital) We can't wait to see what happens next with this special space. 👏
